Hey bud, .. just have a question regarding the Shoutbox you have displayed above your forums.. was this done a specific way? or was it just built into the theme you bought?

If this was something you were able to do.. was there much involved in getting it positioned here? (not just displayed on the forums index but throughout the forums/topics)

Sorry if this is a bit of newbish question ahaha.. gotta relearn all of this ..

Nope, this was done fairly simple using the default shoutbox found in Evo Extreme. It was just a matter of replacing one file if I remember right, and doing one little edit to the header.php file.

any chance you have a tutorial for that ?  or can point me in the right direction.. its not a huge thing so dont trouble yourself.. just figure i would ask :)

Okay, try the attached files. follow the instructions and make sure you make backups of your modules/Shout_Box folder & content. Also make a backup of your header.php just in case if it don't work. I also don't remember if you can have the shoutbox block activated or not.


Let me know if it works or not...

Oh thats corpse .. that seemed to work.. its now on my forums.. it wont however push shouts through when i hit enter.. have to manually click.. but im sure there is an admin fix for that somewhere..

Mine don't also. I have not looked into it for it was not important to me, I may eventually get around to see if I can fix that, but for now, you just have to click the "Submit Shout" button.

Yea i had a fix for it on Clan themes that i posted.. but i cant access it at the moment.. seems to be down while they still fix it.. its what i got my medal for ^^..
i no longer have the file i uploaded to CT as i rebuilt PC ...

Once CT is up ill go and grab it and test it.. .and let you know if it works
