A recent update to Discord seems to have introduced a bug that is slowing down Nvidia GPU's. Not all cards are affected, but it does however appear that there is a vast majority of them having the issue. As far as I found, this was first reported on Jan 26th over one the LTT forums, (

), which then led to someone else posting on the Nvidia subreddit,

. After posting there, Nvidia was quick to come up with a workaround solution.

This problem seems to affect the 30 series cards, but others have tested it and found it even affecting cards as old as the 1060. I have tested this on my 3070 and found to have the issue as well. I personally don't know if this affects 40 series cards, but there is a good chance it is.

Nvidia has stated that they will be rolling out a fix soon, I am guessing that it will be probably with the next drive update. For now, if you are affected by this, you can, if you want, to try their workaround fix that they posted.
