Version 1.2.1 Upgrade

This release was more of a maintenance release but also has a few new features that was asked for. In this release I had put in such things like the FaceBook comments that has admin controls within the the module that allows you to pick if you what the one made for light themes or the one for dark themes, also it has the options to allow you to set the width of the comments section and set the moderators for moderating the comments. I also put in a link to the debugging because you may need to debug the downloads page until Facebook updates. Full instructions are in the section to what you would need to do. Any questions can be asked on this site. Other features and maintenance stuff done to the site was by user request. Another new feature was the ability to add in category icons for individual categories. </p>

The following is a list of some of the fixes and upgrades I have done for version 1.2.1

[FIX] Scrolling Featured system
[FIX] Area to manually put in the URL for the Download
[UPDATED] Got the system PHP5 compliant.
[UPGRADE] Added in the ability to assign Category icons
[UPGRADE] Added in FaceBook Comments along with full admin controls.

There are many other small things as usual, but I figured I get the ?big points across and try not to bore you with all the little things.  I know that this needed to get done and for the longest time I been saying I am done with it, no more, just because it takes lots of hours of coding and testing and I could spend my time in other area's that could help my clan in the donations, but I had people that kept bugging me and asking about it and finally convinced me to do this release. I like to thank 5STAR for testing this for me and coming up with a few features and helping me figure out if something is worth doing or not doing. This is like the last release where you upload the files and do the SQL and you wont loose anything, UNLESS if you are running Evo Downloads V1.1 where you would need to completely uninstall it and delete all the tables and do a full install of this. Thanks, and I have been playing games, mostly MW:O since WG has royally fucked up WoT. But this was necessary release for there was issues with the prior release and the scrolling featured system, that was the major priority, all the facebook ad-don's were just added for shits and giggles.

I had modified the header to what I needed, like I moved the header logo from center to the left like it is now, added in the Google and Facebook like API buttons, coded the Clan Roster button in the header also , altered about 30 images, did work in the forum files. But overall, most of the stuff was to make it fit our needs and my custom scripts along with having all the added custom features like from our roster to show up in here.

Yeah, I had thought about it, but it required people to register their site where already, 90% of the PC worlds community already has a FB account.

I believe Disqus lets you authenticate with any of the following: your site account, Disqus account, FB account, G+, Twitter... But there are definitely advantages to FB comments, too. It's very nice!

So I decided to use something that was more popular and more people would use. But I never went any further in then there so for all i know, they may not need it, but I did not want to go further when i could use the API of FB to do the same thing.

I sent you a PM on your site explaining how to do it. Granted you can only set it up for one group. I may change that later so you can have multiple groups, but as of now, its only one group per item.

I just wanted to say that this is an awesome Mod and one which I find easy to use but I only seem to have one problem, I can't seem to upload anything bigger than a 2mb file. I have tried the php.ini file in main root but I get all sorts of errors on my main page so then I tried it in the Modules folder like the instructions said and it still isn't uploading.

Well I say it isn't uploading, what I mean is that the file states it's uploading in the bottom of the windows bar and it goes all the way to 100% but when I check the folder that the file is supposed to be it isn't there but anything under 2mb shows fine.

Any Idea's where I might be going wrong?

IMy site is running on the Latest Evo Xtreme, I think it's 2.09d

I love this mod and would love to have it running 100% Please Help!

It sound like there is a cap on your server that will not allow any file over the size of 2mb be uploaded. The downloads module actually has nothing in it that limits on the file size for each server has their own set size limit.

When you went in the php.ini file on your site, that is if your site had one, did you have a section on there for "File uploads"?

If you can, can you attach your php.ini to a post here so i can see it. You will need to zip it up first.

I have attached the php.ini zipped up for you and yes there is a File Upload part which = YES.

It seems I've fixed the problem as I was just able to uplaod an 18mb file. I just repaired the DB tables in phpmyadmin and it seems that all is working fine now 2 daumen hoch

Hey all figured I'd try here on this..... I am completely confused about how or what I have to do to get to this version of Downloads , I am currently running the default Module's Version: 1.0 Downloads and would like to upgrade and use the 1.2.1 version downloads. Any chance I can get some help on this? I've been pretty busy this week with work and I'm racking my brain here on this one weinen

installed and Done. Just a heads up, your error log is quite big, fix those errors and delete that log.
