Another thing. If you hear at the end of the round, a hi pitch voice hard to understand, like its a chipmunk then what you have to do is very simple. You should be running a higher audio setting. Go into Options/Sound/Sound Quality, you may need to bump it up. Most people would probably be on the setting 44KHZ (High).

My review on a E-Cig

I always find it interesting how things can be spun into sounding deadly. Well, I also believe in getting past the spin and getting to the real truth. Such is the case with the recent E Cig findings of diethylene glycol (AKA Antifreeze Ingredient). The finding was in a FDA test that tested 5 E-Juice companies from out side the USA and one was found to contain less then 1% of it. When taken in this context, one would instantly come to the conclusion that this is very bad. A bit of research reveals that this is not as bad (or as deadly) as the report would have you believe. While diethylene glycol is toxic in very large doses such as drinking straight antifreeze (see bottom of article for toxicity comparisons), what causes the toxicity is quite interesting. You see, upon ingestion, ethylene glycol is oxidized to glycolic acid which in turn, oxidized to oxalic acid. In effect, the toxicity comes from your body turning the stuff to oxalic acid. Even more interesting, however, is that oxalic acid is quite common in food plants. Oxalic acid can be found in tea plants, black pepper, parsley, poppy seed, amaranth, spinach, chard, beets, cocoa, chocolate, most nuts, most berries, and beans. Did I mention that diethylene glycol, is 7X safer than caffeine and 28X safer than nicotine in terms of toxicity in its pure form! How about an article reading "Caffeine in Coca Cola is 7X more dangerous than chemical in Antifreeze", that's pretty scary!
So what are the dangers? Well, to date it is unknown how much of the stuff is found in E Cig cartridges. My guess based on the amount of liquid found in the cartridges and lack of action from the FDA is that it is extremely small. In general, healthy individuals can safely consume oxalic acid, those with kidney disorders, gout, rheumatoid arthritis, or certain forms of chronic vulvar pain (vulvodynia) are typically advised to avoid foods high in oxalic acid or oxalates. So in conclusion, unless you have been advised to stay away from foods containing oxalic acid due to the above mentioned conditions, then there is little to no danger from the ethylene glycol found in E Cig cartridges. Once again, it pays to do your research instead of basing your actions on bogus and misleading reports.

This list will show how "deadly" diethylene glycol is compared to other common substances based on their LD values or Median Lethal Dose values.

A United States Marine was taking some college courses
between assignments. He had completed 20 missions in Iraq
and Afghanistan . One of the courses had a professor who
was an avowed atheist, and a member of the ACLU.

One day the professor shocked the class when he came in.
He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, "GOD, if you are real, then
I want you to knock me off this platform... I'll give you exactly 15 min."
The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes
went by and the professor proclaimed, "Here I am GOD, I'm still waiting."

It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got
out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him;
knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold.

The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently.
The other students were shocked and stunned, and sat there
looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to,
noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked,
"What in the world is the matter with you? Why did you do that?"

The Marine calmly replied,
"GOD was too busy today protecting America 's
soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid
stuff and act like an idiot. So He sent me."

The classroom erupted in cheers!

Evolutions Updated Downloads Module Version 1.0b3

A few months ago, I was approached by a few friends if I could release my version of the downloads module so they could use it on there site. upon packing it up and releasing, I had snags. You can read the more on that article HERE.

Well, after having a few people that told me I should continue on the project, I decided to hold off for a few months to basically calm down and deal with other issues at hand. Well, after taking the break I finally got around to finishing off some of the request that were given to me along with the controls that I mentioned that I would probably add in. well, here is a list of the new features added in. Its not a large list but there is a list.

A few of the changes in Version 1.0b3:

Added in removed user controls that allowed people to report broken downloads or make modification request. Feature was REMOVED by the Evo Extreme team for unknown reasons, and I put it back in.

Added when you are logged in as admin, and your viewing a download and want to make changes to it, or deactivate or delete it, you can without having to go all the way into the ACP and into the DL module and find it, it brings you to it. Feature was REMOVED by the Evo Extreme team for unknown reasons, and I put it back in.

Fixed the installer and added in SQL files for those that don't want to use the installer. The installer error was something that I accidentally missed.

Added in controls in the downloads ACP to turn on or off the Downloads Overview

Added in controls in the downloads ACP to change the amount of the "Top most" shown in the Downloads Overview.

Those last 2 features were ones I mentioned about adding and after being asked to add them I did.

We all know the Extreme team came out with a newer version, but sorry guys, if you want to edit it, you can't. This one is still 100% open source and will always stay like that to give you the freedom to improve on it. I bet there new version is also nice, which i know its lacking some of the things that is found in this one, but the idea of not being able to update it.

For better understanding of what changes were done from the basic DL module found on Evo basic through Evo Extreme 2.0, go here: http://www.headshotdomain.net/modules.php

Those edits are only from the 1.0b2 version, I have not added any images from version 1.0b3. I will update that with in a few days more and likely.

I am always taking request on things that can be changed or improved, so feel free to post your idea's/suggestions.
